Human Made Badge
Your website shows what you can do. The HUMAVE label also shows that you did it yourself. Online, many people call a sign like this a Human Made Badge: a small graphic on your website, in your portfolio and on your profiles. HUMAVE stands for Human Made Verified. We review your work, and once you are approved, you can show your label everywhere. This guide explains what the badge means, where it makes the biggest difference and how to add it to your site.

What is a Human Made Badge?
A Human Made Badge is a small sign on a website or profile. It tells visitors: the work you see here was made by a human. It usually sits as a graphic in the footer, next to a portfolio or in a bio.
What matters is who issues the badge. Some badges can be downloaded for free and simply added to any site. In that case, the only thing behind them is the owner's own claim. You only get the Human Made Badge from HUMAVE after a review, and it stays tied to the HUMAVE standard.
Why a Human Made Badge matters right now
A growing share of the texts, images and designs online is now created by AI. To visitors, much of it looks the same: clean, smooth, interchangeable. If you write, photograph, design or advise yourself, it is easy to get lost in that crowd.
At the same time, clients are asking more questions. They want to know whether they are paying for experience and real work or for a prompt. A badge answers that question before anyone even asks it.

DIY badge or verified Human Made Badge?
In theory, you could design a "Human Made" sign yourself. But your visitors have no way of checking whether it is true. A badge you made yourself remains a claim. And if you advertise with a statement that is not accurate, you may even run into trouble for misleading advertising.
With a verified badge, someone other than you has taken a look before it was issued. At HUMAVE, that means we look at your work and how it is created. Only then do you receive the badge, and we also carry out regular random spot checks.
Where to place your Human Made Badge
A badge only works if people see it. These spots work especially well:
Homepage: Near the top or right next to the section that explains what you do. This is where visitors decide within seconds whether to stay.
Footer: The footer appears on every page. That way the badge is always there without getting in the way.
About page: This page is about you as a person. The badge fits right in with your story and the way you work.
Portfolio: Placed right next to your work, it shows that every project is your own.
Online shop: On product pages or just before checkout, it gives buyers confidence.
Social media: As a graphic in a post, in your Instagram highlights or with a note in your bio.
LinkedIn: In the About section or in your profile banner.
Email signature: Every email you send carries the badge with it.
Quotes as PDF: A small badge on the last page of your quote can make all the difference.
How to add the Human Made Badge to your site
Once you are approved, HUMAVE sends you the badge as a graphic along with ready to use text snippets we have reviewed. Adding it works the same way in almost every website builder:
- Upload the graphic to your media library.
- Insert it as an image wherever you want it.
- Link the image to HUMAVE.
- Add alt text, for example "Human Made Badge by HUMAVE".
- Place one of the text snippets next to it if you want to briefly explain what the badge stands for.
This works in WordPress, Wix, Squarespace, Jimdo, IONOS or Shopify. If you get stuck anywhere, just get in touch.
